November 2011: Rebecca Mills collaborated with Joanna Alpe, Designer to create an interactive piece for the highly aclaimed 'Make Something' exibition which showed at Saatchi and Saatchi in Auckland. 'Join the Dots' looked at the sustainability, energy and climate change connections between New Zealand and the world. The piece was designed to intrigue and inform...with the emphasis on personal discovery.
August 2011: We were commissioned by the Building Research Association of New Zealand to input into and provide strategic direction to the national review of existing housing stock. This review encompassed the sustainability of existing housing and also reviewed government policy and direction. Read the report 'Sustainability of the New Zealand Housing Stock' here.
July 2011: 'Homestar' Certified Scheme is launched. Rebecca Mills project managed the technical development of this tool on behalf of the NZ Green Building Council. Watch the short video online here.
June 2011: MOG have been commissioned to assist with the development of a future focussed, resource efficient, waste minimization strategy for the Waikato Region. We will be starting consultation with key sectors in July/August.
February 2011:Her Magazine invited Rebecca Mills to share her specialist knowledge in designing strategies for environmentally sustainable major events. 'Green Lights' showcases how thought leadership can leave a positive mark for people, places and the planet at events.
January 2011: Hawke's Bay Regional Council publish HAWKES BAY 2050, which is a starting point for action and a common language to discuss our collective future. We reported on Environmental Trends and Drivers -download the full report here.
November 2010: MOG has been selected to develop a strategy for the implementation of New Zealand's first Regional Energy Strategy.
MOG is pushing design thinking to its limits to craft an implementation plan which will enable and drive innovative sustainable energy use across the Waikato Region.
November 2010: Environment Waikato release their Regional Policy Statement for public consultation. MOG was engaged to provide policy advice and direction for the document in the areas of: Climate Change, Energy, Resource Efficiency and the Built Environment.
November 2010: Homestar.org.nz is launched with the support of Government and Industry. MOG managed the technical development, formed part of the core technical team and project managed this exciting and internationally ground breaking project. June 2010: New Zealand's new Residential Rating Tool - 'Homestar'MOG is managing the technical development of the soon to be released Residential Rating Tool for new and existing homes - 'Homestar'. As well as providing a certified rating Homestar is a free online tool that helps you measure and improve the performance and sustainability of your home. This project is in collaboration with the New Zealand Green Building Council, BRANZ and Beacon Pathway.
April 2010: What will Hawke's Bay look and feel like in 2050?

Anna Stretton's HER magazine recently profiled MOG. We also wrote an article 'one fish, two fish, how to be a green fish'. This article outlines three simple steps to becoming a sustainable business.
December 2009: Building the Future - New Zealand's built environment in 2025
Rebecca was identified by BRANZ as being a leader in her field and was chosen to report on the 'environmental trends and drivers' for New Zealand's built environment.

October 2009: Residential Rating Tool
Rebecca outlined the development of NZ's residential rating tool at Auckland's Town Hall. She is part of the core team developing the home sustainability rating tool for New Zealand's new and existing homes. Updates to this exciting project are available here.
